Sonars of NÜRNBERG |
 |
|
Hi,
I came across some infos on NÜRNBERG while researching the sonar devices of BISMARCK.
I compiled my info on the sonars of NÜRNBERG in the attached drawing.
I don´t know if the Sowjets removed the German installations, however.
Hope this is of some help for you,
Bernd.

Hi Vladimir Just catching up on your superb build. I note that your are setting out the deck planking. When I did the same on Sverdlov the planking took me quite some time . I laid each plank individually and was SO glad when it was finished. I made a small cutting jig to ensure that each plank was the same length and marked one edge with a felt tip pen to show the corking before cutting to length . Dave Wooley

Very nice work!
What did you use for the black "tar" between the planks? I have seen several techniques and haven't decided yet what I will use.
This is a very unusual (for me) planking method. Do you know why the deck was planked this way instead of just long parallel boards?
Phil
