Hello happy New everybody in the World !!! :wave_1:

Thank you very much Horatio.
Unfortunaly, there's only 365 days by year and only 24 hours by day and as i'm a big sleeper, so i have no time for to work on my Missouri! :sorry:

In this time, i'm working only on my BM-7 Arkansas while i want to present him at the next championship in 2015, that my club will organize in my town. I have the "pression"

Happy new year, I hope your build is going well. Check out my logs, I posted some pics of 3D work I have been doing.

Smooth sailing. Haratio.

Very nice and an amazing project it a very large but workable scale, detail wise. One comment, you might check the slope of the sides of e 16" turrets. Looks a bit too vertical to my eye, the front faces should have the same width at top and bottom.

Best regards. T

Hello everybody

Thanks you all for your compliments, René, Norberto, Dave, Setori and all others! :thumbs_up_1:

So René, i'm building my Missouri from the plan book of Floating Drydock. I bought the paper version in 1999 or 2000, i don't remember. You have all that you need for to buil a Missouri entirely!. You have the plan in 1/96e scale with some detail in 48e scale.
I suppose that the ebook plan is the same plan on a CD, so you can buy this CD with eyes closed!.
I precise that on the paper version, it's the Missouri in 1945 configuration.
For the moment, i don't have buil the radar antenna. Since a year i have only to work on my LCm3 and now i'm working principally on my BM7 Arkansas.

Well we have make some try of sailing with my Missouri with a great part of the superstructure :

Hi,

I have been folloing your work quite some time now and all I can say is simply wow. Great work, absolutely beautiful execution on the details.
I have done myslef an Escort carrier in the same scale, so I think I can say that I know what your project takes to build. So one again, great job.

But there are some questions which I would like to ask you, because I'm currebntly planing to build a small section of the USS Missouri in the same scale of 1:72,
(the aft 16" turret until the 2nd 5"L/38 turret for a diorama that I have in mind since many years)

Do you know the ePlanB Book about t5he Iowa class distributed by Floating Drydock, is this any good? or should I buy myself a rather good set of plans for this ship?
Did you ever think about trading or selling some of those selfmade parts like the 5" turrets and the 40mm Quad Bofors? I have made some useful PE parts by myself, which you could perhaps use for your project. (Mostly for the 20mm Oerlikon, like gun sights, shield and bracket, ready ammo lockers, floater baskets, some hatches and so on. Have you found a source for radar antennaes like the MK12 and MK22 ?

Any answer would be great.

Thanks a lot in advance

Cheers

René

Amazing Job. I'll make sure to keep my 1/72 scale German Light Cruiser out of Your gun range LOL as the 15 cm main guns would only scratch the paint on your ships Hull. Keep on sailing, smooth seas to you.

Hi Alain excellent work. There was a 1:100 Missouri at this years Intermodelbau in Dortmund . It looked good on and off the water.

all 3 word are correct.... turret, gun house/mount. Gun house/mount is just more technical than "turret".
I do agree... beautiful work!!! :thumbs_up_1:
