I don't see the bow knuckle nor the torpedo bulges on the model that was on the real ships.

I will certainly get one, though I agree with Phil about the unfortunate appearance of Canarias and Baleares. Maybe Seed Hobby will also produce the post WW2 version with two funnels that looked quite nice.

(maybe better in 3D printed now)

.

How to turn one of the most graceful classes of ships ever built into one of the ugliest ! ( Even HMS London looked reasonable. )

However, having said that I have a morbid fascination with the ship, and may well get one just to show it off against her more attractive cousins.

I wish a manufacturer would release 1/350 scale British cruisers of the late Victorian and early Edwardian era (1890s to 1910).

Triumph models has released a 1/350 IJN Mutsuki DD. It seems to be a resin hull and plastic 3d parts with added PE. Theprice seems right.

So should this be in the resin New items or the 3d printed new items?

Three more 1/700 releases from Fairy Kikaku:

1) Dutch turret ram vessel "Buffel" (built 1868, NATO code A884) as hulk:
https://www.hlj.com/1-700-scale-buffel-firs163

2) Argentine coast defence ship ARA "Independencia" 1893-1948:
https://www.hlj.com/1-700-scale-independencia-firs162

3) IJA transport ship "Amuru Maru" 1932 (aka Amur Maru, later Mansei Maru):

Regarding this kit from my last post - I have since received the model and it is definitely NOT the "Shinsei Maru #5" (former WW1 USSB EFC Laker type built in 1917). The vessel in the kit is too big and too modern, it looks like a ~3.000t freighter from the late 1930s or early '40s - it could be "Shinsei Maru #18". Any thoughts on that? Here's the link: https://www.hlj.com/1-700-scale-leyte-l ... 12-firs160

On another site AJM have posted various messages about their short-term releases. Here is a post formed by editing them together (all 1/700th) ;

"Ramillies ww1 hull, prepared for printing" (along with CAD of hull only).

"We will probably design Ramillies for 1938 and some other R in camouflage for ww2. Maybe it will be Revenge. I will see which one has the most photos. We are currently designing Hms Eagle ww2 also there will be Hms Effingham and Hms Vindictive 1940 as a repair ship.

I plan to make a few merchants from Operation Pedestal

Hms Enterprise ww2 will be released as an anniversary issue no. 50 at the turn of March and April this year
