The Lions were never completed so it could be argued they would have been completed exactly as per Vanguard only with different main guns.

Vanguard and the previous Lions have different hull lines, not to talk about different dimensions and superstructure layout. I see where you're coming from, and it would be appealing to do so, but there's just no common parts to be shared between the classes except the secondary battery, the AA and some miscellaneous items like fire control and boats.

Would love to see a 1.350 plastic Vanguard with wood deck and photoetch details.

I am not really nterested in never completed ships myself, but it would seem to allow a manufacturer to kill two birds with one stone fairly easily in the case of Vanguard and Lion.

These ones you have now in 3D printing by SS Model.

Cheers. I think I'll hold out for plastic ones. Not sure I fancy 3d prints on that scale.

There already are 1/350 models of Renown and Vanguard, though not in plastic.

I built Tamiya's KGV a few years ago and was surprised by the quality of the model even though it's decades old; albeit I would agree that some new tooling for the KGVs wouldn't hurt, particularly if they made something else than King George herself and Prince of Wales. Duke of York would be a nice pick to pair with a Scharnhorst.

Maybe they've changed their mind about what would be more profitable to market.

1.350 Hiei (1940) from VeryFire / Beaver Corporation.

A 1.350 plastic Hiei will be most welcome. Considering her three sisters have already been done in plastic.

Now all we will need is a 1:350 Ise and Hyuga in 1930s-40s full battleship fit.

Exciting that we are finally moving on to what to me is the most classic looking Battlship of all (pre WW2). Single funnel, ram bow, 4 turrets, tall structure, mast. It doesnt look overwhelemed by them as QEs did, has nice wide bulges, etc. The thing is a looker and will look fantastic in 1/350 scale on any shelf. Well done to the makers.

Indeed Revenge sported some pretty camouflage schemes in her time:

And would have been the among the last lines of defence for Britain had Operation Sealion gone ahead.

Still though. I will be very happy to see any R Classes in 1:350 plastic.

.

I would prefer to model an HMS Revenge, I would model her as on Operation Medium, when in the early hours of 11th October 1940, she with six destroyers and a screen of MGBs bombarded the invasion barges gathered at the port of Cherbourgm with a covering force of three cruisers and six destroyers.

A relatively unknown action from which the RN learnt a lot about real night-time bombardment (they wrote it up in a CAFO (Confidential Admiralty Fleet Order).

Boxart is complete so perhaps nearing release?

A chance to do that complicated 1942 camouflage scheme in 1.350. Excellent.

Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Royal Oak announced today for future release.

Makes me happy yes... My wallet not so much!

Hopefully we see a full suite of aftermarket for her too. Photoetch and real wood deck.
