Nice but ... announcements are just blabla until the announcer delivers. Very Fire announced Hiei and Shinano at 1/350, Trumpeter announced Algérie, New Mexico, Royal Oak and now Scharnhorst ( not to speak about Baltimore or Nelson ) also at 1/350.
Seems to me a lot of announcements, but little delivered.
Maybe they are just trying to focus the attention of Santa Claus ...

Scharnhorst has been announced as an October release.

Link to photos of what appears to be a test build of the Royal Oak at the modeling news: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2025/0 ... peter.html

Randall Wilson's Scharnhorst box art is complete.

Difference being the Royal Oak is actually on Trumpeter's website with photos of the kit built-up, and stores are taking orders with a deliver date - something Algerie, New Mex, Baltimore, and Nelson never reached.

Not sure whether this has been caught before, but Magic Factory appears to be releasing a 1/350 Type 54B frigate in China's PLANCG colors

I asked Randy, it's for a private commission, not a box art.

A nicely filled gap, not much WW2 Soviet stuff available in plastic.

Good to see it's also being offered as the now preserved Anshan. I imagine that will be the moneymaker.

OK, but I am a bit sad that they do not continue their line of modern destroyers after the German and Italian ones. Providers are mainly focused on WWII, but we are missing warships of the modern era.

Trumpeter have the 1/700 CVF HMS Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier listed for its 2025-09 release schedule.

Hopefully should be available by the end of the year.

Did anyone else see the cruiser San Diego release?

If you're referring to the Aotori Bunka kit, it's the Very Fire Atlanta with new parts (and had been on Very Fire's release schedule for some time). You can see the instructions and sprues here: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/11201052

Ahhhh...it's my location. If I change my shipping from Jamaica to the USA, it comes up in the search results. The current sellers don't ship to Jamaica.

It doesn't look like coincidence. The Hood in 1941 fit (FH1160) was released on May 24, 2021, and the history was explicitly mentioned in the announcement

OK, makes sense.

Sorry if I have missed this being mentioned before but it seems last month Flyhawk released an HMS Hood in 1940 fit.

Hmmm....

It doesn't seem to have been released yet. Not on Ebay or Hobby Easy pre-order.

But July 3 was 85 years since Mers-el-Kebir....coincidence?

Nice box art though!

Rather smart by flyhawk - looking at the listing it seems the difference between 1940 and 1941 - ships boats and mast details - are covered by 2 small 3d printed rafts the plastic and PE look unaltered.
