Topic review - Mounting USN 5" hollow metal gun barrels in 1:350

Hi all,

among the great improvements l'Arsenal offers there are reasonably priced USN 5" hollow metal gun barrels in 1:350.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to mount them in both open and closed mounts (I am building a few USN WWII flattops) ?

I am afraid I could not be able to correctly use the locating pin on their back to position the barrels.
It seems to me that I could make it if I also buy dual turrets from L'Arsenal that have resin blast bags, (being the bag larger, drilling the hole for the pin should be easier), but I have no clue about how to go about open mounts or unbagged closed dual mounts (the Trumpeter OOB)

Ciao to all

Yours
Luca
