Thank you gentlemen! I really liked these modern ships, if I have time I will build more, but I still have quite a lot of work in progress

Well done!! A great achievement and a well deserved award. Jolly good painting work, the weathering is very subtle and the seascape just amazing. I Like the small details such as the lifeboats, the radar and the well-positioned and not intrusive crewmembers. An outstanding modelling project. SG

Thank you gentlemen! I'll try to do a more thorough job on the next one. Since there are quite a few elements left over from the WEM etching, I might use them for a similar small project

Szabi, congrats on your prize! It is well deserved regardless of the number of entrants. The ship is very nice, the grey colour might be a bit a little on the light side but you can find photographs showing a similar colour, whilst in others the grey seems significantly darker. In my opinion it is better to go lighter than darker compared to the original colour. The end result does not show any signs of being completed in a hurry, quite on the contrary, it is well detailed and flawlessly executed. The kit's Sea Darts are unfortunately noticably oversize. The rigging seems perfect to me. The seascape is just lovely.

Thank you gentlemen, the boat is finally ready for the weekend race I'm not completely satisfied, but it was built at a rapid pace, and things don't turn out the way I want them to... I have mixed feelings, because although I got a 1st place in the announced category, there was no other boat but mine. So this is more of a false result... For the rigging, I used Uschi elastic threads and drawn thread. I worked a little on the waves and brushed the surface with AK water gel effects. At the top of the bridge, I printed the English sign on paper, then carefully sanded the back side of the paper. So it became thin enough, it doesn't look like it hasn't been painted. Overall, it wasn't that bad, I would have needed more time and better references.

Great model and the choppy sea, bow wave and wake really make for a super result.

Despite all the difficulties she turned out very nice! The seascape is downright masterful! I don't know what you don't like about it.

Hello! I have to say, this is the unluckiest boat I've had so far...it's fallen out of my hands 3 times and it's always damaged. Then I was careless and you know we have a cat. Inside the apartment. I think you understand what happened. Since I worked on it in the evenings by lamplight, today I was shocked to find that the hull turned out to be brighter than the superstructure, and it is more lighter or white than I expected. I tried to use the modulation technique, but in the end it didn't work. I used the AK panelliner, which is made for gray and blue painting.I still need to repair the gaps between the individual superstructures. I highly doubt I'll be done by Saturday next week, but I'll try. The base is not final yet, I got the base colors and I experimented with the waves painted with a brush. In youtube videos, the creators do it much better than I do. So this isn't going as planned right now

Promising start! I will follow this build closely because, as you mentioned, I have built this kit myself a long time ago.

Hello This is my first warship after the Admiral Graf Spee, and I started building HMS Sheffield in connection with the 40-year anniversary (Mauretania is now resting). The base kit is the Revell/Dragon model, added WEM photoetchset and own installations. I'm not rebuilding all the details, there are things I left from the model. It was hard to find a good photo of all the details, so the stern part was quite rough. George Pék's ship is a great inspiration, but of course it doesn't reach that level XD Little things are still missing. Actually, I intended it to be a quick build, I wanted to finish it for a local model competition.
