I've now got most of the component parts on to this fairly easy to build kit. I may have to move the catapults a millimetre further outboard as in their fitted position the float plane's wing tip would clip the funnel as it launched.

Here's HMS Exeter (68) from Aoshima as she was in the Far East post-rebuild. Unfortunately, I don't have room for 1/350 scale kits or display cases so I'm going to have to fiddle around in 1/700. Everything fits together so far, although I've snipped off the thick plastic early warning antennae from the mast heads to be replaced with something a bit finer. I'm also going to replace the AA guns provided for the tubs atop the turrets with a smaller calibre weapon.
