That's some nice clean work. Having made this model I know how much of a pig it can be to line up the decks properly.

Thanks Mark and Ryan, he's excitied about the progress so far.
Ryan, he has test fit each piece and his decission to add the photo etch on these pieces was because it would have been impossible to add it once those deck parts where glued on. But I did caustion him on it prior to his doing it, as he was showing me what the possible problems were going to be, I could see that it was the best way to make it work. What I found funny was the first piece he added was not painted and he was fussing about painting it and how long itwas taking, so I asked him why didn't he paint it first? To quote him "You can do that?" I just about died laughing at him.

Sharp crisp PE work, very nice.
though I wonder if he will run into problems having installed the pe before attaching the decks to the kit???
Hopefully that will not be an issue, but I would certainly caution him about doing things in this particular order.

Seriously good stuff going on here!!! I only wish I could lay PE down that nicely. anytime he wants to come to my place and give me a few (LOT) of pointers I'll take them. PE is the hardest part of my builds, and he sure has that down.

First allow me to introduce my son, his name is Chris, he's 17, an amazing artist with a very keen eye for details. I'm going to post pics of his progress and let everyone else be as amazed as I am, yes I'm a proud dad, but this kid has got some skills, and makes me sick at his clean painting, and its all hand brushed.
