Jim,

As usual, you are making us look bad. And all in 1/700!

I was waiting to see this result. You really pulled off a "Jim Baumann" again! Strikingly realistic, love that water effect and the gloomy atmosphere it creates. I guess you'd never succeed in getting a similar effect if you'd not submerge the entire ship but only build the protruding parts. It really paid off to use this thick layer in the transparent view from the top.
Great job and for once the long duration (!?) of the build is not entirely due to your extreme detailing, but due to the drying time of the gel ;)

Well thank you all for your kind words !!!!

I am actually quite overwhelmed...!

I must confess-- that having a bit of distance from the model and re-looking a at her earlier today I am actually liking it more again!!!

Thanks again for your encouraging comments!!

On more than one occasion I have had to remind myself that it is a modell, not an image of the real wreck. Really well done!

I had my doubts at the start, but... WOW!

That one is now officially my preferred from you Jim! I particularly like the transparency effects, and the very "it's grim up north" feeling about that one. On that scale this is quite unique indeed

Hello Jim

the rendering the water is "screaming of truth" especially the deep effect at decks level of the wreck :woo_hoo:
"chapeau bas l'artiste"
congrats
cheers

Hey Jim,

Great job!

The water is especially realistic. I want to try using gel on my Nagato base. You've inspired me.
