Yury, Great looking build so far. This is what my translator came up with, So Dan and Timmy are right about it being a practice loader vs an actual gun. Matt

Part C31 is likely a practice loader for the 12.7cm guns.

Regarding the funnel, you're probably right - even the paint diagram shows the larger oval hole to face aft.
On the "gun", it seems to be a practice loader.

Kindly asking assistance from IJN funs. I don't know the purpose of this part. What is it? To my mind this is type93 13 mm machine gun. Attachment:

Great subject, and excellent work so far! Donald McNarry describes such a jig (but in wood) in his 1955 (!!!) book 'Building miniature ships', but for cutting gun barrels at identical lengths. Now I see it actually works! Have to try that myself...

Thanks a lot, Pieter. I shall try. Japanese modeler HSN5656 (unfortunately I don't know his name) made great research for "Ashizuri"- and "Sunosaki"-Class Combat Support Ships here: https://hsn5656.blog.fc2.com/blog-category-16.html. I made the account in FC2 Blog for communication with this Gentleman, got the explanation in English for one of his scheme. But my account was blocked and I did't save his messages. So... Very nice detail work here. About the fairleads, maybe you can flatten them a little (copper is quite flexible) and fill out the curves near the deck using either thick paint or Kristal Klear. Dr. Livesey wrote: 0,45 mm portholes and fairleads (0,18 mm copper wire). Another my mistake - fairleads must be closer to the ship's sides. And no idea how to make fairleads more realistic in 1/700 scale.

That's some very intensive porthole work. I'm interested in how this kit builds up.
