More progress mainly on the USS Rhode Island.

Made some progress with both; mainly cage masts with Rhode Island and masts/main batteries with HMS Monmouth. At 74 my hand/eye coordination not as good as heyday of model building 30-40 yrs ago but still enjoy it.

This is why I love grouping ships of the same scale. It's amazing how huge Monmouth looks compared to the battleship - and that was one of the smaller armored cruisers in the fleet!

Here are the 1/700 Nico USS Rhode Island pre-dreadnought and 1/700 Combrig HMS Queen pre-dreadnought and 1/700 Armored Cruiser HMS Monmouth under slow construction (73 yr old eyes and hands ain't what they used to be during earlier model building heyday)!
