I hope you enjoy it. Vladimir and I are continuing our research into Soviet warships. We will have an article on the Kirov/Gorkiy-class light cruisers in next year's Warship.

I look forward to reading it

Tell me, please;

Does this book refer to Soviet light cruisers as (ahem..) "CLs"?

I look forward to obtaining a copy of the new book at some point, but would prefer it not be spoiled by the same USN-style "navspeak" that frankly, I found a bit annoying with the author's previous "Fleets..." book.

Thanks! :wave_1:

I just had to add my 2 cents:
Congratulation to authors Tiornu and Vladimir Yakubov on an excellent piece of work! Lots of previously-unseen (well, at least unseen by me...) pictures of ships that have been hitherto relatively unknown in the West.
I'm really looking forward to the Pr. 26/26bis article.

Well it's not like I was studying for the midterm, just taking it. :big_grin:

The book took care of filling the spot which should have been reserved for studying, but would only have been filled by other means of procrastination if not for the convenient arrival of the book.

Aah, who needs midterms? Read the book. {Warning: This advice has been rated as "Bad" by a council of experts.]

Just got my copy today! Looks fantastic, I flipped through it quick and was excited to see so many great photographs of so many ship I had never heard of or seen before!

I can't wait to actually sit down and read it once midterms are over!

If I'm remembering correctly, the article has plan views and profiles of Kirov and Gorkiy drawn by Sergey Balakin. The content in the next book will depend largely on the publisher's decisions, and that's a ways down the road.

Oh wow! Please keep us informed on that one!

Got a good set of plans for them? I want Kirov, Maxim Gorkiy and Chapeyev....
