I never even heard of these before; thanks for the info. I may have to order a few.

I ordered one of Kaijinsha's special issues by fax many years ago; it arrived OK.

HLJ is your best option for individual issues of Ships of the World.

Alternatively you might try Amazon Japan:

Kaijinsha titles by date

But be aware that Amazon Japan's international shipping costs are high because they only offer express shipping. Amazon Japan marketplace sellers sell back issues, but typically they will not ship overseas.

Dear Boys and Girls, please can any of you tell me how to buy individual issues of the Japanese magazine Ships of the World published by Kaijinsha? The publisher's website does not give any way to make such an enquiry......

http://www.ships-net.co.jp/homee.htm

......in fact it states that it will not accept any enquiry other than reports of network/sever problems (excellent customer service)......

The website only gives provision for faxed subscription orders......

http://www.ships-net.co.jp/order/odrovssce.html

......and there is no provision to order individual issues or back issues......

Have any of you out there ever had to deal with this publisher at all? Hobbylink Japan and Léla Presse both sell selected issues.
