The author is well known for his books about battleships.

Since it says "Translated by Bruce Taylor", I assume the content is the same as the 2015 French version, which was published in two separate volumes.

I tried briefly to find some reviews for the French editions, which are titled the same (but in French): "Les cuirassés de la classe Iowa". Alas, nothing there either. Maybe some of our French members can help.

Someone asked about this book on the other site and got no responses:

After going to the link I had the same questions. Does anyone know anything about this book? There are no sample pages on any book site I can find. I can find no reviews on any book site either.

It's a large book but it's 'spensive so I'd like to have some idea about it before shelling out the cash.
