Japanese books
About a year ago, I bought a new soft bound version of the battleships book at Kinokuniya, a Japanese language bookstore in San Francisco. I had the old hardbound version at home but the book I bought was smaller in size and softbound, so I didn't realize that it was the same book. I gave my new copy to a fellow modeler at my local IPMS club. So I assume there is a new soft cover version still in print and may be available somewhere.

The hardbound books had just gone out of print when I purchased my set in 1993. Any idea which used book sellers would have copies of these books? I would be VERY surprised to find them on Ebay. Are there also copies published in English?

I believe these hardbound versions are out of print of you've got to go thru ebay or a used bookseller.

These are hard bound copies of the Kojinsha series. See this link for Ed Low's IJN reference library:
Anyone recognize these and what they are? I'm searching for schematic set 1 and Volume 5.
