Wow. Really amazing work at painting.
As for specific set, I haven't found one for Type VIIC, but there is one for HobbyBoss Type VIIB (covers two kits):

Also, Tom's Modelworks set:

I've also been building a 1:400 scale Type VIIc by WCM:

I think I prefer 1/700, just like 1/72 in terms of vehicles and planes.

I chose not to add the antenna wires because I was afraid that if I started to detail it, it would not be a "quick-build" anymore :) Looking at the finished model, I can see they would have add some realism.

Should I look for "generic" PE railings or are there specific sets for each german sub? Some PE accessories and figures would really bring these small kits to life..

Thank you for you input.

Very good painting and weathering. I would expect there to be some periscopes poking out of the conning tower, however. Also, if possible, add some rigging and PE railings in place of the chunky plastic ones.

Also, the display stand that the kit comes with is much too overpowering - it would probably be better to put her on something less imposing, perhaps a drydock display.

I'd appreciate some feedback/constructive criticism. Should this be in "Completed Works" instead?

I usually build planes and land vehicles, WWII stuff most of the time. This was my first finished maritime model and it was a very pleasant exercise. Once I peaked inside the box I was amazed by the amount of detail this model has for only 5 euro, therefore I brought it home and immediately started building it.

A big thank you to everyone who share their knowledge on this forum. The gallery is pure inspiration and it helped me immensely, I'm sure I'll try to put my next model in water setting.

The model was airbrushed with a mix of Tamiya paints, some details were brushpainted with Vallejo, the weathering was done with oil paint and everything was sealed with Testors Dullcoat.
