I am finally done!!!!! Thanks to all of you for your interest and encouragement. It has been a fun but longer than expected build, but I would recommend the kit to anyone.

This was a beautiful executed model from the start Joe. I know it took you a little over 2 years to complete it but it was time well spent!

Thank you gentlemen! Sorry about the late reply Jim. I just saw this. For photo-etch tips, I always build and paint the plastic assembly as much as possible and add the painted photo-etch after to minimize glue build-up showing with paint. Get a hold and fold. Also, I use automotive masking tape to hold delicate assemblies together and remove it using CA kicker gently painted on the tape. The tape falls off with no residue. Feel free to PM me with any questions as you progress.

Great job. and let me add because of this post I have decided to try my hand at ship building again. I have order the Hasegawa 1/350 IJN Destroyer Shimakaze 1944 with the Infini detail up set. I plan on starting some time in August but I have some questions I would like to ask. the first one is when you started did you file off the molded support of the linoleum from your deck?Sense this is the first time I will be using PE parts do you have any tips on how to get the best results.

Thank you Martin! I'm mounting it in the case right now. Minor flat coat tomorrow and add chrysanthemum and that should do it. 955 hour project. Not sure how it ended up more than the IJN Myoko but the time just seemed to get away from me.

Just wonderful, Joe. The accommodation ladders are magnificent. What are you using for the hawser reels?

Thanks again for the kind comments! I have finished all rigging, added the launch access stairways with canvas, added all ships boats, added two spare torpedoes, all remaining armaments, window glaze and upper gun directors.
