Thanks Peppe, that's useful additional information. Are the colours of the paper model the same as that art?

Since World of Warships is based out of Russia, it's not too far of a stretch to take their model as somewhat accurate in the absence of better sources.

I've attached the Molotov photo here:

Thanks Timmy, my ISP seems to think that website is a virus and won't let me open the picture but the higher resolution isn't much gain in this case.

Main thing though is at least the camouflage is dated to when the ship was a) active doing things around the Crimean coast and b) still had her original stern.

I was actually planning to use the World of Warships 3D model of the ship as a basis for most of the camo since the pattern matches what can be seen in the pictures and it's a high-res resource when so much is lacking. Still suspicious about the colours...

You can find a higher-rez version of the photo on Navsource.narod.ru: http://navsource.narod.ru/photos/02/065/index.html

Which also indicates it's take December 1942.

Sadly, no other photos on there of the camo.

I've bought Kombrig's kit of this ship and have stumbled across these pictures and drawings:

That is a very interesting camouflage scheme and I would like to build her like that. But those two drawings and one picture barely agree on the pattern never mind the colours. Can anyone help me out with more pictures or some information about the actual colours involved? I find some of those browns and greens a bit suspect on a ship, or is it one of those "hide the ship at anchor" camouflages?

EDIT: is it possible to date when the ship would have been wearing this scheme.
