I love it. It is fantastic for a 1930's era scratchbuild. Your father had skill as did many, many from that age so you have a real treasure on your hands. Amazing condition for its age too. No doubt that if he were alive now, he'd be an expert modeler with all the advances we've made in the hobby. Dust that vessel off and put it in a place of honor.
Did he build any more models?

Hello Sir, I think your dad did a nice model of coastal parol boat At alanta of the Argo class built between 1931 and 1934: Atalanta, Ariadne, Cyane, Dione, Pandora, Nemesis, Triton, Argo, Aurora, Calypso, Daphne, Galatea, Hermes, Icarus, Perseus, Thetis. 334t 16kn Arm: 1x76mm - 2x3.7mm dims: 50 x 7.8 x 2.3m Attachment:

This is my first effort at posting an image here......call it an experiment of sorts. Here is a plain view of a ship made by my father back in the very early 1930's, according to family legend. Some of you Navy historians might be able to fill me in a bit. If this posting works, I'll drop the rest of the images in later. Piper
