Hi Richard.
I do from comercial gratings from Cornwell model boats. UK..
Excellent gratings to be mounted one by one (interlaced horizontal and vertical indented bar).
So i mount and i cut to the size you see.
I do a drawing for It and obviously i supposing the size of the gratings. How i haven't any information about the grating used on Bismarck i do an simulation.that's It.

No. I use hard paper Just to see three dimensional view to understand the structure. My decks are from 1mm wood.
The plans are from harhaus. http://www.harhaus.de and some parts from gally plans from Germany.

Richard your Bismarck model yes is good man.
I have many pictures to show but i need reduce the file size. Dockplan really is difficult to see in plan. I still don't finish mine.
I have working in the main hangar structure. A Lot of work to do. I AM doing many Small pieces.
Really Bismarck is a difficult ship to do.
I like your buildings.
Thank you by kind words.
Regards.
