Can you make the PoW from the Force Z refit with the PoW update set or just as she was when she fought the Bismark???

Looking at the instructions, I believe you can make either version.

Oh ok awesome. I thought so, I thought it was only to make only the PoW when she fought the Bismarck

I've bought the PoW set. There was a problem with the brass barrels of the 2nd turret (the twin turret.) Whenever it is mounted in triple or quadruple there isn't a problem, but the twin mounting caused one barrel to stuck and couldn't go fully down while another one could. Is that happens with your build?

Regards.

Can you show me some photos?
I cant understand with your post.
or contact me via email.
Thank you

Re: The Ship's Bell location.
From two IWM photos of the bell, one of it being rung by a coxswain and another showing a Royal Marine Bugler with it in the background, it was hanging below a carley float just forward of an open scuttle. The only place on the main deck where they had these was along the outside of the Wardroom Flat, technically, part of the quarterdeck. The scuttle hinge is to the left and, as the hinges were at the forward edge, this means it was the "Port" or left side of the ship. So, my choice of position is just aft of, and above, the aft-most scuttle on the port side of the wardroom flat where it lies parallel with the side of the ship.

I think we can spot it on this still I captured from a cine-film taken from a boat passing KGV at anchor.

I know this post is old, but is there any chance of seeing the late KGV version? I want to build a 1945 version and would like to have a Pontos kit. If not, how much of the 1941 KGV kit could be used on a later fit?

Thanks,
Chris

I think over 70% can be used for the later KGV with our detail set.
Thank you

KGV Class detail pages is now under construction for updates.
For personal request, we can show the links. So please contact via email.

We've already started 1/350 Revell Bismarck from last year. But the main problem is new products that we had not thoughts have been released and have cut in this Bismarck (and more WWII Iowa class for Tamiya) schedule.
Anyway 1/350 Bismarck and Iowa follows after 1/200 series.
Hope we can pull down these two kits from our storage shelves as soon as possible.

Thank you
Kim

Hi Kim,
Sorry, every time you make something, I ask for something more! As the Americans say, I am like a "kid in a candy store".

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the reply. I am disappointed that it won't be available as a separate item to buy.
Have you thought about doing a p/e and brass set (including the quad pom pom) for the Trumpeter 1/350 Tribal destroyers as they need some help? They come with an eight barrelled pom pom which should be a quad.

Well there have been too many askings to release 1/350 20mm Oerlikon single/Twin 25mm IJN single/Twin/triple 8 pompom /quad Pompom and same for 1/200 and so on that were developed already by Pontos.

But now we are focusing on firstly on the full detail sets promised to you.
So just wait some more for these unit sets.

Thank you
Keumho Kim

I will try to design and make quad pompom soon.
A small PE may be enough and we will distribute this only with actual shipping cost 1USD to our 35015F1 Prince of Wasles owner.
