Pretty cool to have a dreadnought from Flyhawk for RN. Really nice news, its not the ugliest of the dreadnoughts so might indeed be worth a build... However why they dont produce HMS Tiger in 1/700 over this is a question I would ask.

And what about Flyhawk's 1/350 Prince of Wales ?

Hopefully they will focus on ships that was never released in plastic, we can live with the myriad 1/350 PE sets and Tamiya's 1/350 PoW for few more years.

Hi,
the Bismarck plus accessories arrived here in Germany two weeks ago, regular version.
My Moltke/Goeben is still available.
Kind regards,

Yeah, I ordered mine from China weeks ago, but, ironically, it is on The Slow Boat From China. Hopefully it will be here before Christmas!

I would have liked it if Flyhawks Bismarck came out a few years ago. Now after building her and her sister three times I will pass on this kit no matter how nice it might be. Can't spend forever building the same two ships. Looking forward to Flyhawks German light cruisers which I wish had come out first.

Looks like Flyhawks Bismarck should start shipping from Freetime next week. Stoked to get my hands on this gem!

If anyone is really interested in 1/700 MTB models I suggest you pick up the Sky Wave SW-02 kit which has 2 each of PT , S and Vosper boats nicely detailed and waterlined. On EBAY they sell for <$10. IMHO Fly Hawk is wasting their efforts on 700 scale MTBs while their list of future surface ship releases continues to gather dust.

Yeah...I have seen their boat sets. The US PT boats look OK, but the S 100 class look worse than terrible, and the Vospers look passable if you replace everything. I will just hold onto my money and hope Flyhawk releases these.
:wave_1:

BTW Dragon released a very nice PT boat with their 1:700 Pennsylvania, but ONLY in that kit, and it is long OOP!

Well I wasnt mocking you, I was actually suggesting that the Water Line on a little torpedo boat is very sensitive to how you display it on diorama. If you wanna show it moving at a speed, you are gonna sink like a 1-2mm of the thing on the stern into the base, and the rest will be out actually. Simply put, if you model some kind of admirals barge, cutter, or lifeboat you never want it in Waterline configuration as it is simply unnecessary due to low draft. That would just limit how you can display it (i.e. stationary only). Make it move, and the thing will sag at the stern, bow will be all out, etc. Think about it, you can appreciate that WL is the only way for it.

waterline? what the heck, you just take the damn thing, grind it on sandpaper 3 times and there you have your waterline. :eyes_spinning:

Judging from the drawings, it is 1/700 (or smaller). The mast e.g. would be ridiculous for larger scales.

Oh please, please, please, MAS in 1/700th! :woo_hoo:

Hope they release some Vospers, too, to accompany their St Nazaire Campbeltown. That will make a nice tiny dio, unless you want to make the entire port!
