Dodo Models announced in 1/700:

German frigate of the Baden-Württemberg class (Klasse 125/F-125)

Danish frigate of the Iver Huitfeldt class

In case of the Iver Huitfeldt it is stated that a NH-90 would be included, but the drawing shows the correct MH-60R - plus two Arvak class tugs, one loaded with a 7.62 cm gun :D

For sure there are classes for which a endless number of kits are available. But there are also still classes, for which no kits are available, e.g. for USS Little Rock and Oklahoma City as missile cruisers. Were there are lot of difference between Boston and Canberra? For sure, bot were modified during their service as missile cruisers. I would have thought that it would be no problem to built Boston from the Canberra kit.

Why not Boston? Canberra is Canberra. After all if we can have a dozen or more Bismarck's and Tirpitz in the same scale why not two sister ships.

This is really good news! It will be interesting if Niko Model releases also the late version. The plans of the early version are much easier to find.

Apparently Orange Hobby announced another 1/700 kit of a 1950s ship:

USS Boston, CAG-1

I do not understand why another 1/700 kit of the Boston class. The Canberra by Niko Model is already available.

That's awesome, one of my favorite postwar cruisers, but I hope they also have the missile armed version planned for future release. It's too bad the real ship ended up going for scrapping after having been saved as a museum ship.

Yes, there's something wonky with their store listings. I used to be able to just click on that link and see everything. I check their page often, as I really REALLY want a SanGiorgio one of these days.

I feel the same way about Trento - that's one sexy cruiser.

if you two are interested in one of their kits, do not wait for eBay. Contact them at evainscale@gmail.com and ask for the kit and the shipping cost. It will be less expensive than with ebay

Try this one: https://www.ebay.com/usr/officinamod

And when clicking "See all items", select "Worldwide" under the "Item Location" section on the left. It seems the "Default" means all these Italy-based items may not show up for you. This link should include that selection: https://www.ebay.com/sch/officinamod/m. ... 6732.m1684

Apart from this single kit, their eBay shop seems empty. Do you know their product list ?

If you click on the sellers name, it changes screens and shows several kits for sale.

I'd be all over that in 1/350. Full hull of course.
