The Lions (39), as with the H39's WERE laid down, even if to a very limited extent.

Surprising to me ! There are already the Very Fire Montana and Louisiana, Joy Yard announces another Ohio with bigger guns and bigger price...
Why no HMS Lion or Alsace or Sovietsky Soyouz as never-weres ? Why no Forrestal ? Later ? Anyway, I plan to build my own Lion with 2 Tamiya KGV, and have already an Alsace at 1/400 since long.

These battleships never went past the drawing table, and yet we are getting them from all major and new active manufacturers.

Or a 1/350 late war Colorado with optional parts for a Maryland.
Or a 1/350 late war Tennessee with optional parts for a California or West Virginia.

Randall Wilson, who does many a box art for Trumpeter, posted this today on his FB page, with the caption "1/200 scale":

Oops. I completely missed Matt's posting and pics for the new VF Yamato on the previous page.

Well, he's right, it's popular. I hope it leads to more IJN releases.

Spotted this just today. The pics certainly look like injected polystyrene. Seller shows the "Brand" as globaltoy (isn't that an evilBay seller in China?); but could this be the long-awaited release expected from S-Models, noted on page 1 of this thread?

I spotted a hint for this here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/315251657779?itmmeta=01HW0K21T2TF22KH23PPJ1XZQ9&hash=item4966768c33:g:WWwAAOSwz5NmA9Ad&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4DhAeFIzHwLSrkHtIjrKQrCzKlopMpj5HLE9hfoKHSM19XLEo3%2FZLg0YmB%2F1oR0%2BkEUaLKrqoRIFq7p26zEOIapVE2dtweQphRsFVHHeMpbgxQUNEooyZHB4V8T%2BP88EaRoRWqhyrzlfOL%2BI6ZH1KbHsIJfAS1OHKr4VpKtzS5z%2FSMUnw3%2FAl%2Bv8fBNTDqalLF%2FKTT0uIf6M3LyWJD7egfqA5HfDJshl7mf3BCVJ54uOJMeaYei6oE9jZSg40dkmvuiuvKCztmolXcDjDNrMkmIAkNxqepuLBjrr8RBSmMld%7Ctkp%3ABFBMqJ2Ik-Bj

On the first image it says that this set is for S-Model kit, and it looks to me that the sprues are the same on links both of us posted here.
All in all, quite a hefty price tag for a 1/700 CVE - in this regard the Pontos 1/700 Yamato is quite a bargain.

Well, many of us were waiting to see if VeryFire would ever release another IJN vessel.

They have, but I don't think this one was expected, or necessarily desired, though if it signals more releases, then I can live with it. :-)

Another 1/350 Yamato, and more expensive than the new tool Tamiya kit :

Actually, given the level of metal photo-etch and resin parts in the Deluxe set, its not a bad deal. Looks like that one's the way to go. :thumbs_up_1:

And thus the age old question; "how many of the 3-4 Dragon kits do I replace?

I guess that's what I get for working on two of the Dragon kits at the same time lately.....

The pictures are giving mixed signals. The "built model" photo is actually a Bogue class, but the individual sprues appear to be of a Casablanca class. We shall see what comes of it.

Need to confirm by other source, but it seems that FlyHawk is stepping up to the big brothers 1/350 table with an injected CG-63 Cowpens...
