I've been a part time 'lurker' on this site for a long time/
Somehow, I never scrolled down the page far enough to see there was a 1:1250 section.
I've got about 5000 models in that scale. I've been collecting since the early 1950's.
But like many 1/1250 people, I don't just collect. I modify, paint, and scratch build. too.
The basic rule I follow is that each actual ship is represented by one model. There are some rare exceptions, when the the appearance changes drastically. (USS Midway is the outstanding example. There were three sister ships, but the differences between them over the years resulted in 5 models in my collection).
I recently started taking photos of models in my collection. I'll try to post a few here in the coming months.
