Love these ships - tiny battle ships - I have a 2400 scale GA Graf Apraksin (Okinoshima) - painted it last night to show. This is my secret weapon - I have a friend who likes to make games where fleet size is based on the type of command ship - so BBs command more ships than BCs & them more than CAs etc - this is a very small/cheap (technically) BB I can use to command very large cruiser/DD fleets if I have Russia or IJN.

These ships were rather monitors then battleships specially build for shallow Baltic sea for possible conflict with Sweden. They barely made to Tsushima.
The fact that they actually made it all the way there can be considered a feat of a seamanship.

Hello there!
There is a very well detailed 1/200 scale paper card model of the Admiral Ushakov made by Pro-Model in Poland. It has a black hull, with white trim and yellow ochre funnels.
There are after market turned brass guns and laser cut parts as well for this model.
Best regards,
Alain

Re: Calling All Admiral Ushakov Battleships Fans
Hi, Adm. Ushakov Funs! I'd like to draw your attention at the Set of genuine building drawings of "Adm. Senyavin" published in Russia in 2002 for modelers. These drawings are interesting not only for modelers but for naval historians as well since they give impression of russian naval design and drawing culture of that time. This set I found on the site: http://siriusm.homestead.com
Cheers

After an hour, the Admiral Ushakov sank with all her crew.
As a matter of fact Ushakov didn't sunk with all her crew but was sunk by the crew after taking severe damage from two armored cruisers. 57 sailors died, including Captain who was brother of famous Russian explorer. All others were captured.
These ships were rather monitors then battleships specially build for shallow Baltic sea for possible conflict with Sweden. They barely made to Tsushima.

Here is my Admiral Ushakov
1/700WL Scratchbuilt in 2003.
When the Japanese Armored Cruisers ordered the Admiral Ushakov to surrender, Captain Vladimir Miklukha commanded his crew to answer the Japanese with the sound of Russian guns.
