Thank you. Pascalemod: I ordered the YS Masterpieces 1/700 USS Oregon. It has a full hull. Hope to get it soon. Ordered From Greece. Blue Ridge Models also makes a 1/700 waterline kit. Just snatched one off Ebay. I think it is OOP now.

Some of the more interesting areas include the stacks and deck covering. On Oregon it was way more substantial, whereas the Indiana was almost completely open.

The color of Indiana is still a mystery to me. At the battle of Santiago Bay a drawing of the battle indicates the ship was all white with the exception of the stacks in buff. Sometime later she was changed to all grey. There is also a picture in Navsource that has her just before the battle in white. Time frame is a bit ambiguous from what I have found in photographs. Maybe someone here can shed more light on when and at what time did they make the switch to all grey.

I have the GMM set which has the bow shield for Oregon. I'm debating on how best to recreate the bb1 crest.

This picture is from open source, showing the BB-1 bow. My question is who is the figure? At first I thought it was George Washington, but now I think it is a cameo of a women. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view ... ajaxhist=0

Thank you Darius, the close up of Indiana has a clear view of No. 1 turret which is without the "victory" figurehead unique to Massachusetts. Cheers Mick

I wish I had an answer for you. I too am looking for some reference of early US battleships. No kits for the Indiana class either. Great pics.... by the way.
