I had the same opinion but I was not 100% sure.
Actually I used the same colour patern to paint the hull and the decks on my Admiral Gorschkov produced by Gwylan Models.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the links.
Do you think the grey colour in the deck in front of the bridge, above the bridge plus the helicopter deck and most other decks are painted with the same grey colour used on the hull and the "vertical" structures?

I want to start building this kit this month.....

Thanks.

The bridge wings have wooden decks (cratings?).

The resin parts by YG models are unfortunately not so crisp, many edges are slightly rounded.

Hi,

Any idea about the deck colours on the Grigorovich class frigates of the Russian Navy?

It seems the red brick colour is not used anymore on the new generation of Russian warships...

Thanks.

All:

I am building the beautiful YG Russian Grigorovich class frigate kit in 1/700. It is really first rate. Casting is sharp and clean, lots of PE detail. The only/only drawback as far as I can tell so far is that the PE railing is a bit heavy. I will probably replace these with the railings from the GMM modern Soviet warship set.

A question: the master-maker used what is clearly an incorrect pattern for the vents on the top of the funnel. Would anyhow have any good photos of the inside of the funnel on the Grigorovich or her sister, the Admiral Essen, or any of the Indian Talwar class frigates which are export versions of the ship?

The best I have come up with is this drawing which would seem to show two rows of three oval vents, followed by round uptakes (please ignore the red circle around the platform forward of the funnel): http://files.balancer.ru/forums/attache ... rus-2-.jpg

And this photo of a builder's model for the Talwars shows the round uptakes, but that's just about it: http://www.wrk.ru/forums/attachment.php?item=232258

Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Mike E.
