I've shelved the Whitehall for now. I'm currently building a Dumas Dauntless.

The Whitehall has made some shakedown runs, and I expect to do some more detail work on her in the future.
I still need to add the 20mms, hedgehogs and railings, etc.

Thanks man. Ballast is probably in the range of 57¢ in pennies and nickels.

The detail of the gun kits really sets the tone for Her......nice job :thumbs_up_1:
The flag-bag was a nice touch.
The pics of her in the pond shows here "riding" well at the water line...How much ballast weight was required to keep her low?

To save weight, I've decided that I can probably replace the platform and base for each of the 40mm mounts, without seriously compromising the fidelity of the details.

Image

8 grams. I may be able to recreate them in milliput and/or styrene. Hopefully can get it down to 4 grams.

Image

The base and platform constitute half the weight of the mount's 16 grams. (excluding pe and a couple detail parts)

Image

The 3" gun only weighs 6 grams.
