Well she's nearly done now just some rails and the rigging (no idea where that goes) I can see some of it in the box atr but obviously that does not show where its anchored or anything.
got a bit of work to do on the base and the background, but definitly on the finishing stretch.

Can't answer your question but your diorama has sure sparked my imagination. Fun stuff.

Hi ya all a quick question where would the fire hoses be stored on warspite. I mean they wouldn't dip buckets in the sea to put out fires would they. The reason I ask is I've had an idea for another hit on warspite but I want the sailors trying to put it out, oh and another quick question would they try and launch the walrus whilst under attack.

Rarely do you see this type of dio because they are difficult to depict a realistic scene. However, I think you have definitely achieved a believable battle. I applaud your vision and skill. :thumbs_up_1:

This is the most intriguing ship diorama I can recall.

I can't quite decide if I'm witnessing the start of the next generation or an interesting gimmick that pops up from time to time. Regardless, I applaud your imagination and ingenuity. Well done, sir, well done.

Regards,

Mac

hello everyone I think I better introduce myself first. My name is Ken I have been building scratchbuilt ships since I was in my 20s (several years ago now) last christmas someone bought me a plastic kit and it was leaps and bounds ahead of anything I had built in my teens. I am now hooked, havent touched one of my scratchbuilt ships since infact (it takes me between 18mnths and 3 yrs to build a scratch build) i love the relative quickness of kits.
Anyway I am on a couple of other forums and one of them is BTS, one of the members on there cliffy b recomended I post this build on here. I am quite a long way on in this build so will post a few of the initial pics just to bring you up to date. hope you like it.

I started with a selection of planes that were going to attack Warspite and this is what I did with them.
I decided Warspite would be biting back so this FW190 was going to be the first casualty

then I bought this stuka but unfortunatly (knowing nothing about planes I bought the wrong version which didnt have air brakes or a bomb cradle so had to scratch them
Image

Image

I had several other planes of differing scales to add and so this is what I did with them
Image

almost up to date now .
I have some 1/350 planes to add here is another one Warspite nabbed

And here is where I am now

as you can see loads more to do but getting there. Sorry if any of you are on the other forums I am on and must be getting bored with this but hopefully some new eyes will like it.
