Thank you Martin! It took 2050 hours! The kit had a lot of seams in complicated areas. I way underestimated the amount of work Yamato required. The AA guns ate a lot of time.

Really nice, extremely detailed and realistic reproduction of the ship. I like the absence of weathering and the museum-style approach. Sometimes, indeed, the weathering covers mistakes and lack of detail. It is quite difficult to achieve such kind of result!!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Looks like Joe's efforts were worth it, as he took a first place in his category, Best Ship and Judges Best in Show at the recent Madison Region 5 Model Contest/Convention show, put on by the Mad City Modelers. Attachment:
