Nice to see that lighting method works in 1/350th, I plan on doing something similar for my 1/350th Yorktown build. I experimented a bit with it in 1/700 scale, but the space is too tight and the fibers won't handle the bends required to make everything fit.

Dear all here is today's update on the carrier for the diorama battle of Coral Sea.
I placed the lamps on the forward truss beams very fiddly but they look much better. I placed also the first lamp on central roof of the hangar and l put the fiber optic and clear resin...it looks really cool..

The air wing is shaping up nicely. What paint are you using the the blue-gray upper surfaces on the aircraft? I've always loved the old Model Master blue gray, but it's long out of production, and I need to find a replacement for future projects.

Dear Devin sorry for the late reply
This is what l used base color: ghost grey, then blue grey wash then panels in Us blue grey and finally highlights 50-50 Us blue grey and white grey...hope it helps all colors and washes are vallejo model air

Great attack wing! :cool_2:

the lamps look perfect, how did you manage to produce a series of such perfect shapes?
Are you going to drill a hole in each one for the optic fibers? :cool_1:

Thank you for your comment
Well the lamps were made by heating a 2mm ball tool and press it gently into 0.5mm plasticard to have half sphere then l cut them and they look almost all the same...and yes l will drill them all to fit the fibers...hopefully i will not break them...

Every single lamp will accomodate a fiber optic cable to give light to the hangar....
The 2nd picture is what a ww2 hangar lamp should look like
3rd picture in green what the lamps look like in the hangar..in this case in Enterprise twin sister of Yorktown

Wow!! That's amazing!
