Topic review - A poorly precise review

Antonio,

Please be aware that I am not trying to step on anyone's feet, nor am I trying to support anyone, in this case John Asmussen. I wrote the book(s) review as I, or anyone else would have seen it when we receive those books in the mail. I am also trying to walk the thin line between everyone in this situation, as I prefer to be friends with everyone involved.

I wrote this review because many persons have asked me if these are good books to buy. What I wrote about them is what I see as I turn the pages and my opinion on that.

I have worked with John Asmussen in the past. I have worked with you in the past. I would like to continue to do that, so I am not taking sides in this argument between yourself and John. I wish to remain neutral.

I hear your complaint about your claim that your research has been used to create these books and you were not credited for that in these books. Am I correct in saying this ?

Is there a chance that John Asmussen has looked into the same research as you, because you have looked there ?
I myself have done this after reading something from another author and then going to look for the same research and using that in one of my books. Sometimes authors and researchers find the same information, even if they are not working together?

Again, please understand that I am not favoring anyone here, or in my review of those books, only giving a review of what I see in them as I turn the pages. Believe me, there is bad blood in the creation of those books. I, more than anyone else, know this, as that project was my creation, but I got pushed out by the publisher. Long story which I will not go into, but please realize those books do elevate my blood pressure.

Sincerely,
Steve Wiper

Hello everybody,

I like to underline that this books review is not correct :

http://www.modelwarships.com/reviews/bo ... eview.html

The reviewer, Steve Wiper, just forgot to mention that many years before the work was done by me and Abram Joslin, ... and he knows that, ... and many ( the majority ) of the camouflages schemes contained in those books are just copied from that work, ... including some evident errors ( immediately corrected after on the referenced website after I released the correct ones demostrating the evident copy activity on going ), ... which is just another confirmation of the copy occurred.

Here the original work published on several websites :

http://www.kbismarck.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1221

YES Steve, you are right when you state :

" In short, this is the best work on the Camouflage of the German Navy of the Second World War that has ever been done. "

But it was not done at first by the author you try to please with that incorrect review.

Someone just took my camouflage research work information I used to direct Abram Joslin doing the original electronic drawings and used it to make just new electronic format drawings, .. in order to try to avoid the copyright of the researches, ... not mentioning the correct source of the information used to make the secondary work he published on books.

In fact he is a well known plagiarist :

http://www.forum-marinearchiv.de/smf/in ... 625.0.html

Given the above, I kindly ask the website moderators to invite Steve Wiper to make the necessary correction to his incorrect review.

Many thanks in advance and best regards, ... Antonio Bonomi :thumbs_up_1:
