Matt, nice and superb collection and Museum, congratulations on the models and for organization.
You offered some closes if asked, so tell you if may I (and all) have some more pics and close of Lane Victory, I love all the ships but Victories are special for me.

Final model is kind of unique being a late-war Minelayer (DM-26 Harry Bauer) in 1/192 scale built by Don Preul.  Final close-up of the Fletcher...  And it wouldn't be complete without the Big E...  Oops, sorry - get back to the 23rd century. Actually, got to love the Enterprise all lit up. If you enjoy the ships that really won the war, here is a 1/96 Lane Victory with a full scale deck-load of trucks, Sherman tanks and artillery.   Funny story about the accuracy of this model built by Fine Art, I had her on display and came down to find that one of the cranes actually had come down on the deck. Come to find out that the winch had free-spooled and that the pulleys and rigging all worked - down came the crane... Amazing. Here are a few more of interest.  One of the prettiest ships (my opinion) is Missouri, here in surrender fit in 1/192 from Fine Art Models. The oil of Akagi in the background give you an idea of some of the future models I'm hoping to collect or have built.   The Fletcher class destroyers still are just amazing ships to my eye. Here is the 1/96 USS The Sullivans from Fine Art Here are a few more of interest.

Here are a few shots of Nagato (1/144) in a very early configuration. The model was built long before the advent of photo-etch and internet research. There are any number of flaws (including over-size rigging) but the subject, her build history combined with the details the he put into her makes her one of my favorites.    You might pick up on the fact that she is missing something... her props. The model was built with a big black boot stripe that anyone familiar with IJN warships knows doesn't exist. He also managed to have the A-struts hanging halfway down the shafts. Thanks to a little help from Don Preul, the bottom and shaft struts are completed and he's whipping up four nice new brass props for her.. I posted a few of these on another thread but thought it might be interesting for some people interested in seeing a few of the models from my collection. Some are Fine Art (with modifications) while others are from individual builders that have some tremendous skill. I'm also going to post up a 1/350 thread for a couple of interesting dioramas in the collection. Not a great photographer but if you are interested in any close-ups, just let me know and I'll do my best. Enjoy.  Entrance to Matt's museum and official man-cave in the basement.
