Hi Lukas, this was my second ISW kit and both were very nice kits. They needed cleaning up and the masts needed to be scratch built but overall they were very nice kits and I am very happy with how they turned out. I will definitely be buying more ISW kits in the future :thumbs_up_1:

Very nice, congratulations  . I would also like some model from ISW, but I have not yet had the courage to buy.

Here is my build of the USS Haynsworth as she was in late 1962. I built her for a friend whose father served on her as a gunner on the quad 40 mm mount during the Cuban Missile Crisis. I used the Iron Shipwrights USS Henley kit for this build. I had to modify that kit quite a bit to appear as the Haynsworth. I had to remove the bases and areas where the twin 3 inch mounts were on the kit because the Haynsworth never got those. I had to modify the rear superstructure quite extensively and also the bridge area. I used the PE included with the kit and added turned brass barrels plus Veterans Models quad 40 mm mount. I scratch build most of the main mast assembly with styrene rod and some bits of the kit mast assembly. This was an enjoyable build and the kit was good quality and easy to work with.
