You're linking to the image pages, not the images themselves, Rick. Flickr has a share function with a tab for BBCode links - use those for this board!

This is a National Underwater & Marine Agency project support vessel that would have been in one of Clive Cussler's novels, if he had thought of it. (I guess that makes it a fictional hypothetical or something). The ship is converted from an Orange Hobby Rowangarth tug, with everything aft of the pilothouse either modified or scratchbuilt. Addition of the big 15 ton crane on the port side meant that parts of the engineering plant needed to be offset to the starboard side. There is a mini-sub on the aft deck as described in one of Cussler's novels. Although it is well-known that NUMA's deep-sea research vessels are all-over turquoise, it is a little-known fact that their smaller inshore support vessels like this one had turquoise hull and cream colored upperworks.

This was my first try with scratchbuilding bitts, and these are a bit too big (no pun intended, but there it is. The correct term is indeed bitts, not bollards.) I ran out of courage before trying to add crew figures.
