Thanks again for taking the time to go thru the ENTIRE log. Really? That took some stamina. Anyways, the boat was to be an R/C model, but as I finished it I realized that the logistics and detail on the model weren't conducive to the rigors of hauling it in and out of the water. Besides, it would take an entourage of handlers to do so if I were to. It's currently on loan to the Mariners' Museum and will be coming home next week. From there I'll Take it to the Richmond, VA, Old Dominion Open to compete. It was built for my own enjoyment and I hadn't really considered a legacy plan for it. Perhaps someday it will find an appropriate home, but until then I have a nice nest all feathered for it at home. It's time now to move on to the next build.

BTW, the scale was a typo. It's only 1:96 scale, not 1:32. Can you imagine if it were? I'd live in it, then.

Yes, this is really unbelievable! It took me about 45 minutes to make it through your build thread, I can't imagine how many hours you have in this project.

What it the story behind the model? Obviously you built it for RC use, but it sounds as though she never made her maiden voyage. Are you using it to support the conservancy? Will she go on display?

Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting.
