I had a talk to Richard yesterday, and we agreed that I would be importing his sets to Europe, so WEM sets would be available here soon. If you need something from Tom's or WEM, I am in progress of planning a restock. I would not manage to order every set now, but you can order them over me.

Lots have changed since this was announced. Richard Harding at Tom's Modelworks is continuing the PE line (still being sold under the WEM label and site, but now in USD: https://www.whiteensignmodels.com/), while Peter Hall's Atlantic Models and Mike McCabe's Starling Models are producing/selling the 1/350 and 1/700 resin stuff, respectively.

I've just seen this thread ...... I've been buying from them for years ........That's worse news than hearing Trump won the election in the USA!

Does anyone know whether 1:600 etched fittings are being continued elsewhere?

And Rich Harden is intending to bring even more of it back (ie the resin kits)...

Last I heard from Dave on that subject, he was talking of selling the pattern off to someone else. I don't think it ever got beyond the CADD stage.

Just an update for those interested...

Re-packaging is nearly done. The WEM website is being updated and should soon be functional again. I am hoping it will be no more than two weeks before you will once again be able to order WEM Photo-etch. There will likely be some shortages initially but hopefully not too many. My goal, as with Tom's Modelworks, is to always have all sets in stock.

HP Models produced HMS Mary Rose in 1/700. I don't know if it is still in production.

WEM only produced HMS Mary Rose in 1/350, sorry.

Great news! May I suggest a new thread moving forward, as this one has gotten a bit long...

Great news Richard.

It has been a painful experience and a shock to learn how much effort is required to do the things you describe.

I look forward to their availability again for my own personal use :)

The WEM PE and resin inventory arrived here yesterday. It was delayed in customs three weeks and so I am behind on my original date to have these items available again. Everything has to be sorted and counted, of course and put somewhere where it can be found again! This will take some time so I must ask for your patience for a bit longer. I will try to have the PE available in about a month.

Hi Timmy,

The penny dropped after the second one and I read the instructions properly! Thank you! :)

Best regards,

The first three posts of a new account need to be approved by moderators before showing up in order to prevent spambots. You should be able to see it now.

Hi folks,

I had a different user account on here for a while, (albeit I mostly read rather than posted) but thought it time to create a new account in the business name.

I'm James, and I bought Colourcoats from White Ensign Models' liquidators. I just wrote out a long post explaining myself but it has vanished, rather annoyingly!
