Very interesting tool and I plan to buy both within a month. I would love to see some 1/700 USN battleship railing that is accurately spaced between stancions and photo etched plus brass masts that would go together and look like scaled down life-like WW2 masts 42'-45' with platforms and radar etc. I've seen some 1/700 masts for Bismarck, and Tirpitz that look nice and at least a start for more detail without having to fumble with delicate and often ugly scratch builds.
Thanks,

The cutting mats are interesting. Am I correct in assuming that the black guide lines are recessed? Also, are the increments measured in metric?

Good luck in your new endeavour. Please keep us posted as you come up with new releases. How about working up a good detail up set for Merit's Yorktown/Enterprise? Just a thought.

Bob

Dear Bob,

Yes, correct! We manufacture the cutting mat by engrave lines on a acylic plate using laser.
Also, unit of measure is mm.

Thanks for your suggestion. Merit's CV-5 Yorktown/CV-6 Big E, I'll think about it, too.

Regards,

Hello

Greeting for the first time.
This is Korea’s new photo etching company, Infini Model. (http://www.infini-model.com) (Scheduled to open its site at September 25th)
I’m head of Korea’s modeling lacquer paint company IPP(http://www.ippmall.co.kr), and I’m launching a new business that is specialized in etching.

Infini Model is specialized in ship detail up sets, and also producing other modeling goods.
We are just starting so please give us much interest and helpful advices.
These are some products we’ve developed.

Please evaluate and tell us your opinion freely.

[Cutting Mat]

This is not like any other products. Please check it up carefully.
Our cutting matte is not produced using mold. We manufacture them by scribing the acrylic plate using Universal Laser.
After that, we do the primer treatment, orange color coating, UV drying in order.

1.Ease Cutting Mat Type A
A type can cut masking tape in any size you want easily without ruler. Only art knife is needed in general process.

1.Easy Cutting Mat Type B

B type can cut masking tape in any size you want easily without ruler. Straight line for art knife, circle cutter is needed for curves and circles. Cutting mat type B requires circle cutter, so it will come in handy if you prepare Circle cutter as well. Circle cutter got sold out pretty well in Korea.
There are some brands that produce circle cutter such as Olfa, but the best circle cutter that Suits with easy cutting is the one made by Platz, Japan.
