This is a little off to the side from the kind of input you were seeking, I suspect, but I would love it if some 3D outfit started offering, as an aftermarket upgrade, underhulls compatible with 1/700-scale kits that are available only in waterline form. Off the top of my head, I can think of six that I'd buy, and then squirrel away against the day when the kits to go with them came within reach:
Trumpeter's
Texas and
Alaska
Vee Hobby's
Worcester and
Brooklyn-class
Flyhawk's
Agincourt and
Invincible
(It'd be nice if the underhulls came with stands, too, for those of us with no aptitude as woodworkers.)
While its likely to be a NO from anyone doing the work on this, I would too support stuff like lower hulls on Texas etc. But we may wait long time.
There is a hull for the Flyhawk Agincourt already available, and while I cannot find the name of the company, I can give the name as it appears in a model store: "CY700068 1/700 Ship Bottom Upgrade Part for Flyhawk FH1310S HMS Agincourt Ship."
I originally found this at an Australian model store, though then unavailable, and recently (today) found it at a Chinese store here,
https://www.buyscalemodel.com/products/ ... 5386324.11.
I have found this to be a good store to deal with.
Hope this helps.

The company is called ChuanYu Model Ship (川渝模型船). The company produces quite a number of 1/200, 1/350, and 1/700 products, and often distribute these through other companies. A case in point is the 3D-Wild 1/350 HMS Vanguard.
