To build on what tjstoneman noted, you can easily compare the differences between the kits (since you already have both) by looking at the instruction pages that contain the diagrams showing all the sprues that are in the kit. You'll note that pretty much every single sprue, to Trumpy's credit, has been modified (exceptions being Sprue G weapons, the Arado, Sprue H secondaries, and some of Sprue F). While some parts are the same despite being on different sprues (e.g. propellers on sprue C for Prinz and on Sprue E on Hipper), the vast majority of parts show clear differences in shape and detailing.

As far as one can see from the instructions (https://www.scalemates.com/), the kits show the significant differences between Hipper in 1941 and Prinz Eugen in 1945. Apart from the differences in light AA and radar fits, the key differences are the so-called "Atlantic Bow" (much more prominent in Prinz Eugen); the relative positions and shapes of the hangar and catapult (Hipper: wide hangar ahead of catapult, Eugen: narrower hangar aft of catapult, extending under tripod aftermast), different boat stowage and the different styles of cranes.

the Prinz Eugen model should be slightly longer & wider then Admiral Hipper.
1/350 Prinz Eugen 60.714cm(212,5 m) x 6.228cm(21,8 m) http://www.german-navy.de/kriegsmarine/ ... /tech.html

I have both trumpy kits. Same box size. Are there any appreciable differences in kits, aside from the deck? I'd like to get to a 1940 Prinz Eugen.
