Coldheat Soldering Iron - Any Good For Making Metal Masts?

by Steve Adams » Thu Nov 02, 2006 1:48 pm

Has anyone heard of or used the coldheat soldering iron? If so, would it be appropriate for fixing spars and masts together? I have included the site link below if anyone wants to take a look at it.
Since I am all thumbs, the easiest but still effective way to attach metal rods to make masts is what I am looking for.

Thank you for any help or advise.
