The main facts are reasonably accurately conveyed but don't take what was shown on the screen as a completely accurate representation as the filmimg was done on current ships (no type 23 in 1982!) and there have been plenty of uniform changes too. The bit that really jarred for me was the supposed briefing by Admiral Woodward. Having had a similar address from him, I can assure you he came over far more authoritative in real life!!

Did you guys catch the BBC special on the loss of HMS Coventry in 1982 last night? I found it pretty well done, except the real combat footage of marauding Skyhawks was shown in some skewed reflected manner. What did you think of the historical accuracy?
