I like H-R fittings smaller items, e.g., pelorus, Bofors, etc. But here's a photo of the H-R Products
white metal 5-inch mounts and directors. To my eye, they are improperly shaped and the metal
indicates significant mold damage. I was disappointed in them so made my own mounts from
styrene using plans from Floating Drydock then cast resin duplicates. You can see the difference
in H-R Products white metal mounts and fittings and my initial resin casts in the pictures below.

I improved my resin mounts later by adding rangefinder hoods and a gun captain's blast hood.
Here's how they look now:

I have used h r guns on my sterling Missouri and my USS Cowpens. I liked the 40 mm stuff. there was some flash and assembly can be a pain especially the quad mounts. The 20 mm singles leave alot to be desired but I was to lazy to try to scratch build them . I also used their searchlights and a few other misc. fitting which worked fine for me. Greg w

I can only speak about the 1/72 I used on the moffett build , they were very good, I believe the smaller they get the worse they go for flash, you get what you pay for. :heh: :heh:

I was wondering about peoples opinions of H-R fitting 1/192 cast metal ship fittings. If you have any pictures of them it would be a great help too...
