Hi,
I'm a Vancouverite who did volunteer work for the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, where we worked on RHIBs with the Auxiliary's Unit 10 in Richmond, BC. We also got to do joint SAR work with the regular Coast Guard's hovercraft Siyay and Penac from the CG station on Sea Island near YVR.
Since the Eastwind was mentioned in an earlier post, you should all note that Revell Germany has a kit of USCGC Burton Island, which can be kitbashed or modified to become any of her Wind class sisters or even HMCS Labrador, which later became CGS Labrador.
