Thats the stuff!!!! Practice with it, you can also tint it too :thumbs_up_1: Some models you can prepaint, decal and dullcote and do KK last as you build it up, others you have to wait untill later and carefully tape over it to prevent it from getting chalky-white from the dull-cote. Great stuff though!!!! you will find tons of uses for it. I use it to fill small gaps(and wipe/shape with damp Q-tips) and use it to glue clear parts on like canopies, sometimes even PE parts. Its white glue on sterioids made just for plastic modelers. :big_grin:

I use the colored tint sheets for tinting car windows. Almost every shade you can desire and the amount of tint is also very flexible. Go to your nearest auto glass shop and beg....worked for me.

You can try white glue. Put a blob in one corner of the opening and pull it across the void and it will stretch and fill the whole window frame. It does take a bit of practice, but it does work and will dry glossy and clear.

You can also use the same technique to make canvas-covered rails (dodgers) or even small awnings.

I have done this is 1:700 using one of two products -
Kristal Klear available from RC Cammett
http://www.cammett.co.uk/ - who do a range of really useful bits and bobs

or there is something that WEM used to sell by Protec Hydrocoatings which is a clear gloss primer, they may still have a few left but otherwise the address on the label is PO Box 69, Wallasey, Wirral L45 9NS.

I found the second one to be the better but it is thinner and if you thin the Kristal Klear down, water seems to work, then with a bit of practice on some scrap ladders you should be ok. Just drag it across to form a film and leave it to dry.

Ah. How about the tube glue stuff? They're pretty gel-like and moldable, and they're clear.

Hi folks,

Some advice if you would be so kind.....

What can I use for glazing windows?? Looking at doing the bridge windows on the 1/350 Nimitz and Big E here.. And the other big question is where to source it in the UK?? I have tried Antics and drawn a complete blank..
