Thank you again Dan! i just came from checking those pictures and the size of the shots disappointed me a bit.. its a shame i really took my time taking all those shots. Wait for the ones on this site i'm sure these will be alot bigger.

Beautifully done, Jose. A lot of work went in to this one, and it paid off. It's already up over at SN.

Thank you Mark! i'm real glad you found it useful, if i did, anyone could do it all it takes is a little patience. i'm getting things together with my Myoko as soon as i get a good reference i'll start its WIP thread.

Dear Jose, dear Bill,

thank you gentleman for the kind words.
Highly appreciated!
There was a hughe inspiration from David Parker, building this plane for the AIR Modeler Magazine.
I just added the oil glaze painting technique to this.

But Boys, we get way off topic.:-)
This is the place for Jose, taking the well derserved congrats for his excellent ship!

Very kind regards, gentleman!
We do have a great hobby!
Lets have fun! :thumbs_up_1:

Hi
Watched this build and found it very informative and a pleasure to follow the construction into a fine looking model.
Gives people like myself insipration to try and attain to construction models to your standards.
Look forward to your next topic please keep us updated.

I had a look at that model too... I used to do competition models in aircraft a few years ago and have seen quite a few impressive models... But that model of yours Molders was quite simply the best, most realistic painting I have ever seen... from anyone.

I think everyone on here should follow that link and take a look. The wood finish you achieved on the various wood panels of the fuselage are just unbelievable... I went back two or three times because I kept thinking, this must be wood... The dark panel with the (rudder or elevator?) mechanism just looked beautiful in contrast to the wood either side.. and looked right too.. the wood even looked denser, which it would need to be. If modelling can achieve perfection, then you have achieved it with that wood finish...

Very, very, impressive modelling.

That airplane of yours is simply marveleous it took me about 5 minutes to go over all those pages and i'm still going back an forth on the ones you show the fuselage unpainted and painted that doesn't look to me like a piece of plastic but an all wood carved out fuselage :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: you are truly an airbrushing master!! is that the iwata airbrush by any chance? i've read and heard they are the best but they come at a cost too. i'm happy with Nagato the only thing that i don't like and something i intend to work harder next time is the rigging i think i could've done better but i felt to lazy and at this scale is not to simple sometimes. i began work on my 1/350 Myoko i'm looking forward to her rigging i do still got a long way to go now.. take care and thank you one more time Alex

Spectacular job!

Please forgive me if you discussed this previously (though if you did, I couldn't find it), but did you do anything to seal the wooden deck, or give the natural wood a more dramatic tone? Or once you put down the deck, did it remain "unfinished" and unweathered?

Many thanks for considering this question!

Mike E.
i'm glad to be answering your question Mike you see the deck comes with a self adhesive sticker which makes it alot easier to glue on place and this is something Shinsegumi's decks don't have. 1 point for KA and 0 for Shinsegumi  i like the deck's texture although i could say is real delicate and sometimes even brittle with tiny bits but overall it can hold some stress while making it fit. i didnt touch the deck Mike i left it just as it came, i could've weathered it with my black water color but i decided not to. i like the way it's now.

I'm real glad you enjoyed my work fellows!! and a big thanks to you, i finished taking all the shots right now so tomorrow i'll make sure of emailing them to Sean. Bill i want to start on a bigger subject i have to take a break on the 1/700 scale this scale is not doing any good to my eyes. i'll probably start on my Myoko but there is something i wish i could finish i guess i'll have to flip a coin or something, but it'll be a bigger subject for sure.

2 more shots
