Hi Laci!

I moved your post to Tips and tricks-- placing in water a 1/350 scale ship its a more appropriate forum.

Here is a link to almost all the water making methods on this web-site--and a few more.

Happy reading--and lets see your soon-to-be-afloat model. .. :thumbs_up_1:

A questions about casting "water".....

Hi there!

I would like to display my 1/350 Nimitz going thru water instead of doing the boring full hull...
But I never worked with clear resin...
I have a gallon of Crystal clear resin from Fiber Craft, a canadian product.Does anyone have experience with this product?
Or can anyone recommend something that worked for them just GREAT?
I made a couple of small samples:one mixed wrong,(where although I had time to work with it, it never fully cured) and one mixed better which hardened too fast to leave me time to finish an area big enough to fit the ship....
so after this I am asking all the possible relevant questions...
how to create properly scaled waves?
how do I buy time to work on this for hours but get certain shapes to stay a certain way?
of course I am not gonna list all the questions.I know NOTHING about this so every bit will be helpful...

Laci
