I have done this successfully with a FUTABA "attack4" radio(it,s a four channel!)I run two ACE electronic speed controls and that leaves one for steering and one to activate a lightswitch for night running. I would use 6 or more channels but,this keeps it simple.Running twelve volts is perfect for run time(OVER 2 HOURS) and the CORVETTE GEL CELL battery is great ballast too.I build my R.C. boats primarily 1/48 scale but I have two liners in H.O. scale(One is a modern liner,) the other a model of the J.M.WHITE(the most ornate boat on the MISSISSIPPI in 1865)I don,t like to do warships in R.C. as too many people are always picking the details apart or asking why don,t the guns fire! In liners and commercial freight boats the sky is the limit and given my real life background I build them as I saw them! commodore4

I was going to build her for MWC but as said in the first post, now I decided to build her as a typical RC model, with as much detail as possible. She won't have the guns or pump like a MWC ship, only running power and possibly a scale searchlight.

Big Gun or IRCWCC/MWC?

I am scratchbuilding a 1:144 model of the American battleship Utah; this was originally going to be for RC naval warship combat but I have since decided to complete her as an ordinary RC model, with greater detail than would be possible with a RC naval combat ship. Because of it being an ordinary RC model, I'm assuming that the internal stuff will be easier than otherwise, which is why I'm posting - what all supplies do I need to RC her? I have props, prop shafts, a rudder, two motors, and gearboxes, but that's all so far.
